Important Update
Pretty Deadly is evolving.
Pretty Deadly now focuses on structured self-defense programming for kids and teens, including trainer certification, curriculum, and professional education. This shift allows us to deliver clearer safeguards, age-appropriate instruction, and plug-and-play programs for schools, gyms, and youth organizations.
Adult training, workshops, and in-person classes are now offered under a new name: SHIFT® — a broader movement and training methodology built on eight years of Pretty Deadly pedagogy, designed for adult learners and studio-based training.

Professional Certification in Trauma-Informed Movement Education
10-Hour Comprehensive Online Certification
(Accreditation pending: NASM / ISSA Eligible)
Course Description:
10-hour accredited online course
A professional education course for fitness and movement professionals seeking CEUs and a deeper understanding of how trauma awareness principles intersect with body literacy, balance, and safety awareness in 7 modules.
The course addresses a critical gap in traditional movement training: most professionals are trained in technique, conditioning, and performance.
Few are trained in how trauma responses affect learning, coordination, decision-making, and participation in movement-based classes, from group fitness, to private training, to martial arts.
This program provides the pedagogical, neurological, and ethical frameworks required to teach movement safely and effectively when stress and trauma history may be present.
Self-defense environments are used as applied case studies. The principles extend to any movement setting.
